Steve Seebold ,
Is a seasoned craftsman
who is probably the best kept secret in the surfboard world.
Steve started surfing in 1959, shaping in 1965 and has surfed
and shaped for some of the best known names in the industry such
as Jacobs, Byrne, Gordon & Smith, South Coast and Basic Element,
to name a few. Steve Literally wrote the book on Shaping
("Surfboard" dec. 1993).
Seebold can shape anything, and re-create virtually any model
made since the 60's long or short, retro or modern. Seebold has an extensive
shapers library of original templates and specs.
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Steve is an
incredible surfer who started shaping in the 60's and has
traveled the world and is known just as well on the West Coast
as he is in the Carribean, East Coast of US, Mexico, South
Pacific, Australia and Japan. His shapes are spot on and he is
highly regarded in the surfboard industry as one of the most
visionary shapers around.

9' pintail, I call this one "The
Traveler" since it is such a good all around shape and works in all
kinds of conditions simple bottom contour, flat to moderate vee and a
blended rocker - 22 3/4" wide, 17 1/2" nose , 13 1/2 " tail and a 2 + 1
fin set-up

This 9' Board has a traditional
template with modern features. It is 22.75" wide and 3" thick.
With a 8.5" finbox and futures sidebites you have all kinds of
options for fin configuration. Slight concave belly and double
concave vee in the last 30" of tail. |
